SD's Workshop Space
About
创新创意设计学院工坊空间，是供全院学生使用的协作式原型制作空间。学生可借助 3D 打印机、激光切割机、机床、电子零件等数字化及传统设备实现创意。工坊实行分层管理制度，按设备风险等级差异化管理；另提供近百种媒体设备，师生可登记借用，支持教学科研，详情见 《工坊管理办法》。
The Workshop Space is a prototyping space for all students, who can turn ideas into reality using digital/traditional equipment (e.g., 3D printers, laser cutters, machine tools). A pilot tiered management system is implemented, with differentiated measures based on equipment risk levels. Nearly 100 types of media equipment are also available for faculty/students to borrow (upon registration) to support teaching and research. See SD_Workshop Management Measures for details.
Main Space
数字工作区 Digital Fabrication
该工作区位于 1114 室，内部配备有 3D 打印机、激光切割机、焊接台等设备，可满足建模及电路制作等相关需求。
Workspace is located in Room 1114, equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, welding stations and other equipment, which can meet the needs of modeling, circuit production and other related tasks.
工艺工作区 Manual Fabrication
该工作区位于 1111 室，内部配备砂盘机、带锯机、打磨机等设备，可满足五金切割、打磨等相关需求。
This area is located in Room 1111, equipped with sanding machines, band saws, grinders and other equipment, which can meet the needs of metal cutting, grinding and other related tasks.
How to use the workshop
签署承诺书
SIGN PLEDGE
所有使用工坊的同学,均需签署《工坊安全使用承诺书》,打印后提交至工坊邮箱存档。
All Students must sign Workshop Safety Pledge before using the workshop. After signing, scan the document and send it to the workshop email for filing.
完成测试
PASS TEST
使用工坊进行电路设计的同学,仅需完成《工坊使用考核规范》;若需使用3D打印机或激光切割机,则须通过对应设备的测试。

To use the workshop, everyone must complete Workshop Safety Test, users of 3D printers or laser cutters need to pass the equipment-specific tests (see the equipment introduction page for test access).

线上预约
ONLINE BOOKING
线上预约设备成功后,系统会发送邮件通知。若计划有变,请依照邮件指引在网站端及时取消预约,以免影响他人使用。
After the online reservation of the equipment is successful, You'll get a confirmation email once reserved. If plans change, cancel on the website quickly as per email guide to not disrupt others' use.

EMAIL BOOKING
提前两天发送邮件至designworkshop@sustech.edu.cn,并抄送指导教师,说明使用目的、涉及的设备、指导老师、使用时间和时长。
Send an email to designworkshop@sustech.edu.cn two days before use and CC to the supervisor. State the purpose of use, equipment involved, supervisor, time use and duration in the email.
预约使用
USE ON TIME
依照预约时间前往工坊,完成签到,并出示测试通过证书。若未完成测试或承诺书签署可现场进行签署。
Please go to the workshop at the scheduled time and complete the check-in. If you haven't signed the commitment letter, you can do so on-site.
